No need to post the link, it's yahoo. But, the story on the new uni's with pics is in the featured section. Love the publicity and the new

I like the green, the yellow and the white with green uninforms well enough. I like the wings--they do actually relate to Ducks!
Steel? Meh. Interesting look, but I don't see the point Black. Don't like, it's not our color and it is "somebody" else's. Wish they'd stick with the green helmets. The players love them, if that inspires them to play even more inspired, then Yay! |

Quackfu, the wings are a bit much. The rest is good. The wings I don't like. Atleast they aren't purple.

There are some that think the 'wings' look like the shoulder armor worn by gladiators way back when. Bottom line: The players are actively involved and appear to both give input and like the final results. |

I can ask a bunch of 18-22 year olds their opinion on things, and chances are they will be wrong.
Me: OK guys, what type of car should I drive? 18-22 year olds: You should drive a Honda Civic or Mazda M-6. You should lower it, soup it up, put a spoiler on it, and 22inch rims. Do you get my point? The uniform madness must end. It's like the blue turf in Boise, At one time a catchy publicity maker, but now holding the program back like a sprinter wearing a parachute. I'll bet after a couple of losses, ol' Chip Kelly say F#@! this S*&^. I hope so. |

Having an opinion is normal but throwing kids under the buss because their tastes differ from yours appears a bit immature on your part. As an aside, few outside of Boise like the blue turf (me included) but I don't see it holding them back. They'll start the year ranked in the top 20 which is high praise for a non BCS participant. Also, I doubt Chip will look at decorations/reinforcements on a shoulder as the cause for loses. |

I'm not sure what you're trying to say . . . . 1st you claim that Chip WILL see the uniforms as THE reason for a few losses and then you restate with a
claim that he'll see the uniforms as a distraction.
Either way, it's hard to imagine that uniform design changes game prep or performance to any degree. Some players are invited to give input during the off season and to suggest color and design ideas with Nike. One would think this helps create nothing but positives among the players to see their ideas and thoughts considered and often times incorporated. I doubt one minute of game prep or practice is lost to off season moments spent considering uniform design. The players just may perform a bit better due to the psycology of knowing their opinions and input matter. One could argue that the players would try to perform better just to prove that their ideas have merit. As for your claim that you, as a season ticket holder, some how 'control' and can 'affect' the uniform decisions made by the AD's office, the players, coaches and Nike is beyond me. You kind of remind me of the movie Footloose where the town's elders didn't want their children to dance. Good luck with that. It is one thing to have a different sense of fashion and it is quite another to think you represent what is right and what will be. Many in the age group north of 30 prefer more traditional garb . . . it's why they don't wear the same clothing as their children. To suggest, from that, that YOU (and the few who sit by you and agree with you) will bring back uniforms that are similar to the Green Bay Packers BECAUSE you are a season ticket holder dammit, is just plain folly. The 18 to 23 year old players like being involved, like the uniforms and think your thoughts are those of the parents in Footloose. The 15 to 18 year old players in high schools around the country like what Oregon does with their 'tradition of late' with their uniforms. The Ducks have become known for their explosive offense and ever changing uniforms the past decade. You can see Oregon Duck t-shirts and hats in all corners of our country when you travel now. "I can ask a bunch of 18-22 year olds their opinion on things, and chances are they will be wrong. " Examine this statement in bold just above. It reflects how you view the world. It may even be correct if it pertained to certain facets of life. It is dead wrong as it pertains to 18 - 22 year old's fashion sense or lack of fear of change. 18 - 22 year old players would laugh in your face, call you an old fart and send you back to your rocking chair. Bottom line . . . . I understand that you don't like the uniforms; I also understand that some that you communicate with don't either. But, I often times read on Rivals or Scout that player X from Timbuktoo mentions the Duck uniforms as something he really likes. I doubt that the uniforms are part of a player's final decision making process but the uniforms do help attract many player's initial interest in being attracted to the Ducks as a potential destination. We have a guy named Blount that claims the uniforms are what attracted his interest from Mississippi. He's not the only one. Mr. Blount would loudly disagree with your assessment. |

One fine,
I know this is your board. 4500+ posts, too cheap to subscribe to e-duck, and that you troll other teams boards tells me all I need to know. That being said, I'm 36. Not quite ready for the "rocking chair" and still quite capable of knowing what is and isn't cool. You are the worst type of Duck fan. One who thinks they are NEVER wrong about anything. There's a term for that: It's called a Beaver Fan. Somehow, likely due to the fact that your are a douchbag, you had good enough grades to bypass OSU, and ended up at U of O. Good for you. Too bad college has ended, and too bad you think you represent or are paid to defend the University of Oregon. You are not. You are lonely, angry, defensive, and agressive all at the same time. You've likely lost your hair and gained weight. Your job sucks, and your woman is ugly if you have one. Sad place to be. Again, however, this is your board. I won't take that from you, so attempt to rip me back, and look good to your"boys" in here. I'll let you win.
